As first timers we were very happy we visited! We opted for the patio dining, server was friendly and efficient. Had a couple of beers and ordered a coupe of the the Crispy Pork Belly sandwich and poutine!! OMG, it was the best! Crispy, not greasy, pork was juicy, slaw was tangy and flavourful, the poutine was good too! Honestly, best sandwich I’ve tasted in a while! So glad we stopped in and we’ll be back!!

We were excited to try Sando Shack Get Shacked, especially because of all the buzz around the area. It took over the spot which Lock 42 Restaurant had occupied for years. When it comes to atmosphere i love the set up with the picnic tables out in the back and that it’s secluded and tucked away, also so close to The Severn-Trent WaterLock. Very cottage, North Central Ontario feel. There is one huge issue and that is an issue to do with service. We had opted for the take out, which they have a designated area for, It took about 10 minutes to actually place the order and over 30 mins to wait for our food to come out. I understand if there was a line up or a packed restaurant, but there was literally 4 people in the take out line. They were not overly busy and they were not understaffed. You could see there was three people in the kitchen cooking , they had a few servers. So it was honestly mind boggling. The individual in front of me ordered small fries and it took just as long for him. All we ordered was a Philly Cheese Sando with fries. Honestly i know it is a slower pace than Toronto but that kind of wait time is unacceptable and they need to correct this issue. Now let’s discuss the actual food. The fries were crispy on the outside, thick cuts with soft potato texture inside and generously salted the way i like them to be. I enjoyed the fries. The Philly Cheese Sando was recommended by the staff so I had to try it. Immediately after my second bite I had buyer’s remorse and regret, wish I would have tried something else. The bread was way to soft for this sandwich maybe if they grilled it and gave it a crispy exterior but it was a sub type bread. The bread alone was decent but didn’t pair well. The actual sauce they used was really good. The mushrooms were under cooked, the onions were nicely sautéed. I didn’t mind the cheese at all. The actual meat was a bit over cooked. The meat was almost shaved thinly like doner or shawarma and they even crisped the outside like you would find at a shawarma or doner shop. That in itself is not a problem but it is definitely not your classic Philly cheese steak sandwich nor is it a Philly cheese with a twist. I think i would have been more okay with it if it was called something else. Over all it was edible. Price is a bit excessive but hey thats the world today. To be honest if you are in town and you have plenty of time to wait around. You want to sit outside with a peaceful nature setting and check out the Lock System please give this place a try. I wouldn’t recommend The Philly Cheese but yes please try their fries. I have heard by plenty of others that their grilled chicken wrap is really good.

Made the trip to their new location after discovering their trailer last year, and what a great new place. Have never had a bad meal there but with the addition of seating, cold beer and all the outside dining options, we'll be back lots more this year. Favorites are the chicken sandwich, Mack burger, dirty fries and tried the ice cream sandwich and was delicious. Walked 100 ft and had lunch watching the boats in the Trent Severn locks.

Blown away by our Wednesday night experience at the Sando Shack! Came for takeout stayed because of Hospitality. My partner and I were not expecting such incredible hospitality. A guy, I think his name was Kyle or Carlton, was super down-to-earth and made us feel right at home. The blond server was so thoughtful, noticing my sunburn from canoeing all day and immediately offered me water – so kind! And the food? Amazing! I upgraded to the poutine, and somehow, the fries stayed crunchy under all that delicious gravy. The dip for the French dip was “chefs kiss” it had a thick consistency that sat on the sandwich instead of making it saggy, Seriously impressive. We'll definitely be back when we're up north again! Thanks again Sando Shack staff!

Have been there a couple of times since they opened in this location. The food was excellent both times, nice atmosphere, VERY clean washrooms. Service was great both times. Brittany was our server just the other day. ( If I got your name wrong, I apologize) She was attentive and polite, couldn't ask for more. Food isn't cheap, but you are paying for quality, and with the prices of everything today, it was very fair priced. Highly recommended, and I recommend to everyone i get the chance to. Thanks for the day, great food, and excellent service.

First time visitor. A little tricky to spot from the off ramp as it is inset a bit on a big parking lot. However, well worth the little bit of effort to find. Had the All Dressed Fries and they were amazing. A good portion size of that is a deconstructed burger and fries, without the bun. Fries, lettuce, pickles, beef, special sauce, all the fixins you would find with a burger and fries in one dish, brilliant! Lots of seating with a covered shelter available. Right off hwy 11 so a great stop for a bite as you are northbound on 11.
